SEW WHAT?

I vividly remember the time I shipped 500 Brick Built Waist Trimmers from China to South Carolina, only to have them detained at customs because they didn’t have “Made in China” labels. I had researched EVERYTHING for this order. I even visited China to gain insight into the whole distribution process. Yet, there I was sitting in the warehouse at the Columbia, SC airport for two days, sewing in the labels so I could retrieve my shipment. Talk about learning the hard way! But it was all a part of the learning process that has helped me design this course, Branded from Scratch.

I have been exactly where you are today—full of great clothing design ideas but not sure how to turn them into a viable business. But through firsthand experience, I discovered the best way to build a successful clothing brand. I started out with only $900 and operated out of the spare bedroom in my house. Over the past decade, my portfolio has grown from a single product (socks) to an entire line, including casual wear, activewear, wall art, bedding, travel accessories, and stationery. My company, Brick Built, is now run by a team of employees and contractors from my 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse or remotely.
